Date With Daddy

I woke up Friday morning only to find Chad getting all three girls ready for a Valentine Date with Dad. I helped him a little with outftits and hair and off they went to share special memories together. He told me to enjoy my day to myself, he would be back later. First they went to the mall to pick up mom something special, and then to lunch at one of the girls favorite spots, Chilis. Here are a few picks from their day.

I am so blessed that I have a husband that takes his role as a husband and father to heart daily. I love how he loves our girls and treats them with such attention and care, knowing when they look for their husbands they will remeber how dad treated them, and not to settle for anything less.

Valentines Came Early

Today the girls were playing upstairs and I hear Grace-Anne yell "the mailman is here, and he has a big box!!!" All three quickly ran down the stairs to see what had been delivered. The big girls squealed when they realized the package was from their Nonna (Chad's mom). For many years Nonna has sent big boxes filled with presents for each of them, she never misses a holiday, birthday, or special event, they LOVE these packages.

The Color Purple

Years ago when it was announced that The Color Purple was opening on broadway, I told Chad that was something I REALLY wanted to see, it was on my "bucket list" if you will. Well, I never made it to NYC, but lucky for me it was put on a national tour and it was coming to OKC. As fate (I call it God) would have it my sweet friend Rachel is a season ticket holder to the OKC Civic Center. She and her hubby were not able to make to the show and offered me the tickets, well she offered them to anyone of her friends on facebook, and I was all over it.

Chad had never been to a broadway show and to be honest was a skeptic of the theatre, none the less, he was excited that we were going to have a date night. So here is a pic on the way to the show.

We Miss Daddy

All dressed up now where should we go? So as many of you know Chad was out of town on a business trip, the girls and I miss him terribly when he is gone. Normally he is gone during the week and home on the weekend, NOT this time. Soooo, I decided that we should all dress up and hit the town, a GNO if you will, that's just what we did. First we hit Target and cruised the ailes, no men to hurry us along, as we leisurely strolled while the girls munched on popcorn and icees, this is a MUST if you have kiddos and want to stay longer than 15 minutes. Next we were off to ULTA, I was out of hair products and makeup, bonus they were running special on both and I had a coupon!!! Now for dinner, Grace-Anne suggested Texas Road House, she loves the free peanuts and the fact that you can throw the shells on the floor. We had a great dinner together and Anna-Lea cooperated, miracle. I couldn't resist this photo op moment, so we made a sign to let daddy know he was missed.

A shout out to Sunny, as you can see in the top pic, I am not the best at getting all three to cooperate simultaneously. Any suggestions? I really need a photography lesson or two.
