A Funny Moment With Lil Bit

Ok so this post is for Sunny, I shared this story tonight at church and she said"these are the things you blog about" so here it goes.

Last night the little girls aka Anna-Lea and Grace-Anne got to take a long bath with the new bath goodies Anna-Lea received as a birthday gift, they were so excited to splash and play for a very long time, making a huge mess. As a side note, they do not get to do this often because the two of them can seriously make a HUGE mess, still not sure how they got water on the ceiling. Anyway after they got out of the bath, PJ's were on , teeth brushed, it was time for a little cuddling before bedtime. Let me just say that Grace-Anne is mamma's girl, always has been she still lets me love on her, not so much with her daddy. Anna-Lea is just the opposite, daddy's girl all the way. So it came as a bit of a surprise when Grace-Anne went and sat with her daddy for her cuddle time. Well evidently I was not the only one surprised, Anna-Lea marched over to the chair they were sitting in and said "No It's My Turn", she then proceeds to climb up the back of the chair, makes her way onto Grace-Anne's head and wedges herself in between them, repeating the entire time"No It's My Turn." We all had a good laugh, but this two year old rules the roost around here.

Two Is TUTU Cute

Anna-Lea Kate aka Lil Bit turned Two on February 21, since we had just returned from being going for a week, we had her party on February 28, instead. The theme was "Two is TuTu Cute" and I happen to think she's the cutest little thing ever. I have such a mix of emotions over my baby turning two, she amazes me everyday with something new she is learing and her vocabulary cracks me, she is very vocal, I have no idea where she gets it, ha. I am a little sad as well though, it really does seem like yesterday we were bringing that precious tiny baby home from the hospital. I am so very thankful for Anna-Lea Kate, she has brought so much joy into our home. I love to see my big girls love on her and teach her everyday.

When In Texas....

A couple of weeks ago, Chad had a business trip in Dallas, he thought it would be fun if the girls and I tagged along. While he was in training, the four of us entertained ourselves by eating out and shopping. At night we would meet up with Daddy and head out for dinner as a family, which meant that Daddy would hold Anna-Lea through dinner.
My girls loved the Galleria and the American Girl store, I have to admit I loved these places as well. Savannah said that the Galleria was more than a mall, it was a shopping experience, I have to agree with her.All in all this was a trip that had its definate ups and downs. Little bit was suffering from a busted ear drum, the girls were suffering from boredom, and I, well I was just suffering. I look forward to going back soon, just my hubby and I.

Date With Daddy

I woke up Friday morning only to find Chad getting all three girls ready for a Valentine Date with Dad. I helped him a little with outftits and hair and off they went to share special memories together. He told me to enjoy my day to myself, he would be back later. First they went to the mall to pick up mom something special, and then to lunch at one of the girls favorite spots, Chilis. Here are a few picks from their day.

I am so blessed that I have a husband that takes his role as a husband and father to heart daily. I love how he loves our girls and treats them with such attention and care, knowing when they look for their husbands they will remeber how dad treated them, and not to settle for anything less.

Valentines Came Early

Today the girls were playing upstairs and I hear Grace-Anne yell "the mailman is here, and he has a big box!!!" All three quickly ran down the stairs to see what had been delivered. The big girls squealed when they realized the package was from their Nonna (Chad's mom). For many years Nonna has sent big boxes filled with presents for each of them, she never misses a holiday, birthday, or special event, they LOVE these packages.

The Color Purple

Years ago when it was announced that The Color Purple was opening on broadway, I told Chad that was something I REALLY wanted to see, it was on my "bucket list" if you will. Well, I never made it to NYC, but lucky for me it was put on a national tour and it was coming to OKC. As fate (I call it God) would have it my sweet friend Rachel is a season ticket holder to the OKC Civic Center. She and her hubby were not able to make to the show and offered me the tickets, well she offered them to anyone of her friends on facebook, and I was all over it.

Chad had never been to a broadway show and to be honest was a skeptic of the theatre, none the less, he was excited that we were going to have a date night. So here is a pic on the way to the show.
